*Posts start from the end of the calendar year and work backwards.
Shooting a London/Burberry style look with Isabelle Tremayne this month. The movement and composition make these my favourite shots of the black and white series.
This year, 2016, was my second year walking in the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival. As well as modelling for Myer, and Livin’, I got the opportunity to run a workshop about social media and how it ties in as well as impacts models in the fashion industry. This workshop took place at the Rumba Resort on the Sunshine Coast. All of the runway models for the SCFF 2016 attended. Below I am pictured walking for Livin – fashion and awareness growing the importance of recognising and dealing with mental illness.
Woke up at 3am to meet with Leilani Richmond for a sunrise photo-shoot. It was definitely worth such an early start. These are just a few of my favourite shots done this morning.
Had the most fun and a complete adventure shooting the latest accouterment from Beara Beara UK, with photographer and fashion blogger Elle-May Leckenby. Check out who is on the front page of https://bearabeara.co.uk …
You should read this if you have you ever been stuck for ideas when buying gifts. Maybe it’s a 21st birthday present or a Father’s Day gift, or perhaps just something you need to get for your brother.
Most men will tell you that buying a birthday gift for someone is their least favorite thing to do. This doesn’t only apply to buying a gift for a lady but getting a present for their mates and other important men in their life. In general, finding something that another person will appreciate is hard and stressful, even with all the rewarding feelings you get when you actually nail the gift-buying and witness the happiness on the receiver’s face. Still, if you’re really clueless about what a perfect gift for a man would be, regardless of your gender, check out the following list and you might find some helpful advice to solve your dilemma. This is a preview of a tailored couture shirt by Charles Anthony© with the most creative direction and execution by our head seamstress -Shirl. Hours of work went into the fabrication of this botanic print shirt. The warm colours are perfect for the Australian winter and the heavy cotton makes this a very ‘temperature warm’ garment – perfect to wear with a simple shirt underneath!
My first intentional runway experience- French83– New Zealand Fashion Week 2016. This was such a special experience, I couldn’t get enough of fashion-week-vibe and the quality, beautifully styled clothes from French83. This fashion brand encapsulates everything I love in clothing and styling. It’s new, fresh, practical, attractive, wearable, quality, designer clothing.
Casting for the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival 2016 with the other models from New Faces. Right; Emma Sengstock, Center; Candice Jayde.
Castings for the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival (SCFF) 2016 were held this month in Caloundra at the Rumba Resort. Here I am pictured with Jacinta Richmond- director of SCFF (left), and Jo – director of Hunter Model Management (center).
Two of my favourite images from the shoot in Sydney with Gun;
After many hours of shooting in the studio and on set, the result is many loved images. But how to choose only 10?!?! -with ShotsbyGun
Being in Sydney this month I have had the opportunity to do some editorial style modeling with Shots by Gun. Here I am sporting a denim on denim look.
When you’re very cold but playing it even cooler – that’s what this photo below is all about. Beach photo-shoots aren’t ideal for comfort in the Australian Winter months, but as is the case with all modeling, most collections are shot out of season before they’re released in Spring-Summer or Autumn-Winter.
An edit comes through from our recent partnered editorial shoot (Left; Alexandra Pires-Ménard, Right; Charlie Hall):
Alexandra Pires-Ménard (Canadian female model of New Faces) and myself were working together in a partnered shoot for a series of three editorial looks with Photographer David William. The three looks styled by Brooke and Heena (MUA) consisted of High-End Buissiness Style, Classy Style, and Jeans on Jeans Style with themes of Guess and Calvin Klein. Below is a behind the scenes shot from our first set.
It was a pleasure to meet and shoot with Andrew from ASP in Syndey. These are my favourite looks from this shoot: left; a preppy style attire set in against the sandstone of Sydney Botanic Gardens, right; showing off some Abercrombie and Fitch denim by the Harbour.
Left: Emma Sengestock, Right: Charlie Hall. Here we are in Calvin Klein for a partnered shoot by New Faces. This studio shoot with a partner was far different to being photographed by oneself. Whilst it is still each model’s responsibility to work with their angles and unique look, posing together seemed more lighthearted and fun.
Model off duty look. Whilst in Sydney, I was delighted to spend time with photographer Chris Cheng of Lab A4.
What a pleasure it was to shoot with Deelan Dolan in Brisbane this week. The key element to this shoot was to be natural and show real emotion without contrived poses – a lot easier said than done! These are a couple of my favourite shots from this shoot:
On a recent photo-shoot down in Melbourne with Jasper Kitschke, I had the opportunity to wear a lovely Tommy Hilfiger Shirt and Gazman overcoat as imaged below in Flinders Street Station.
Below is our fashion model – Charlie Hall – sporting a beautiful 3 piece suit from Bell and Barnett on Chapel Street, Melbourne. Thank you to the wonderful Jo-Ann who looked after the suit styling! This outfit is sharp, with a side of fun and funky. Read more…
2016. I have a feeling that baggy old block colours are going to be a big hit in the coming months.
Recently whilst I was walking through the cities of Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, with the express purpose of checking out fashion, the theme for the stylishly dressed was good old block colours and simple accessories. Note that the shirts all seemed to be very loose.
My choice for this Autumn wardrobe would be some good pastel coloured shirts to suit your eyes and complexion, accompanied with some considerably contrasting (but not loud) slacks.
Fashion comes and goes like the seasons. Literally. The hot fashion for Spring-Summer 2015-2016 was deconstructed suits. This look certainly has a fresh allure. Below I am pictured wearing a deconstructed suit for the Myer Spring-Summer collection 2015, on the runway at the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival.
Test shoot in the city wearing a light violet collared shirt and quality Ermengildo Zegna blazer.
